Welcome to/files/One Nation Under God.JPG Penn Christian Academy

Penn Christian Academy is a leader in providing quality Christian education for families in the North Pittsburgh and Butler County area.

In response to society's changing moral compass and to strengthen the next generation, Penn Christian Academy was founded in 1987.

Since its founding, Penn Christian Academy has grown from pre-school through sixth grade and become a leader in providing quality Christian education.

At Penn Christian Academy, we educate children not only academically, but also spiritually, socially, physically, and
emotionally.

Every child is someone special.  Smaller student population allows every student to participate and excel in instrumental and choral music, drama, visual arts and sports.

Penn Christian Academy encourages cooperation of the home, school and church in meeting the developmental needs of the "whole" child.  The school embraces its vision and mission to "equip young leaders for life", by developing leaders who embrace a Christian worldview in today's world and live productive lives in every area of their life according to the Word of God.

Penn Christian Academy's mission is to provide a Christian education which prepares students to learn developmentally in spiritual, mental, physical, social and emotional areas of growth.  Through home and school coordination, students will be prepared spiritually in their commitment to Christ and in their perspective to life.  They will develop a Christian worldview, academically through an excellent curriculum and personally through the development of Godly character traits.

Penn Christian Academy's purpose is to provide a warm, nurturing academic atmosphere in which each child will develop appropriate spiritual, mental, emotional, social and physical attributes.  Each child will further develop personal responsibility through tasks which are self-directed and teacher initiated.  All learning activities in this environment reflect Christian principles and Biblical values.

The teacher, as manager and facilitator of the classroom,
provides opportunities for group and individual learning, child-initiated experimentation, and guided discovery.  The classroom provides for active learning and hands-on experiences.

Penn Christian Academy's greatest treasure
is the students, the vast majority of whom come from homes in which their parents are committed to raising the next generation of Christian leaders.  Combined with the administration, teachers and volunteers, the Penn Christian Academy experience creates an oasis where children can grow in their intimacy and reliance upon the Lord God.

In addition to offering a solid Christian education, Penn Christian Academy is actively involved in supporting our community through a variety of programs specifically designed to meet the needs of children and families.

Programs such as PCA's Dyslexia Testing and Tutoring Program (click here for more information) offers families in the community answers for why their child is struggling in school and to educate teachers in identifying dyslexia students, referring them for testing and making classroom accommodations for this disability.

Penn Christian Academy also offers a variety of educational seminars open to the public.  Free seminars targeted to parents or teachers with special needs helps to transform children into confident, cooperative leaders.

The administration, faculty, staff and students are also committed to providing excellent community programs including performing arts events and holiday music concerts, special celebrations such as honoring our verterans, Pastor appreciation day, grandparent's day, and local, national and international community service and missions outreach programs.

PCA invites you to attend any of the community functions, to our annual open house event or to take a special, individualized tour of the school.
